When Strangers Click, a 2011 documentary about online dating.
It reminds me of that famous Margaret Atwood quote: “Men are afraid that women will laugh at them. Women are afraid that men will kill them.” It also reminds me of something written by one of the mods of Sex Worker Problems: “Misandry irritates. Misogyny kills.”
I mean, it’s just true.
Edited to add: The quote from the documentary is referring to heterosexual men who meet women through online dating, and vice versa. And the “it’s just true” comment is referring to the quotes from Margaret Atwood and SWP.
SO VERY TRUE! And thanks for shouting us out!
OOTD: I wear short skirts!!
Last summer it was nothing but maxi dresses because I was so insecure about my legs. I have learned to love them so much now that I wear mini skirts whenever I feel like it. I walked around the grocery store in my tiny, backwoods home town, and when people stared (and oh how they did), I felt bad-ass instead of self-conscious. Hell yes, give me attention! I deserve it. :)
Plaid skirt: Donald Seneca (Amazon)—with Velcro closure so you can wear it higher or lower. Look at the size chart and take the measurements literally. This skirt is 3 sizes bigger than I wear in everything else. It is freaking fabulous in every way.
Tank: Hot Topic
Knee socks: Asos
Earrings and my favorite necklace: Domino Dollhouse
